LAHORESURGING trend in the prices of daily edible vegetables has continued this week as well as the onion and potato have touched a new height despite the new crop has arrived in the markets. Export of onion in good quantity from Wagha border on daily basis is the factor behind the upward trend of the prices of onion. Garlic China was fixed at Rs 85 to 95 per kg and garlic desi at Rs 90 to 100 per kg with an increase of Rs 5 per kg while sold at Rs 120 per kg. Ginger China was fixed at Rs 170 to 180 per kg and Ginger Burma was fixed at Rs 75 to 80 per kg and sold at Rs 180 per kg. Spinach price was fixed at Rs 15 to 20 per kg and sold at Rs 25 per kg. Brinjal price was reduced by Rs 7 per kg and fixed at Rs 7 to 8 per kg and sold at Rs 10 per kg. Cabbage was fixed at Rs 35 to 40 per kg sold at Rs 50 per kg and cauliflower was at Rs 40 to 45 per kg from Rs 55 to 60 per kg and sold at Rs 60 per kg. The price of bitter gourd desi was fixed at Rs 75 to 80 per kg and farm at Rs 45 to 50 per kg while sold at Rs 80 per kg. Tinday rate was fixed at Rs 65 to 70 per kg but sold at Rs 80 per kg. Pumpkin price gained by 100 per cent and was fixed at Rs 40 to 45 per kg and sold at Rs 50 per kg. Luffa rate was fixed at Rs 45 to 50 per kg with an increase of Rs 10 per kg and sold at Rs 60 per kg. Pea rate was increased by Rs 20 per kg and fixed at Rs 100 to 110 per kg and sold at Rs 140 per kg. Capsicum was fixed at Rs 75 to 80 per kg and sold at Rs 100 per kg while Green chilli was stable at Rs 50 to 60 per kg while sold at Rs 80 per kg. Ladyfinger was fixed at Rs 40 to 45 per kg and sold at Rs 50 per kg while arum price was fixed at Rs 30 to 35 per kg and sold at Rs 40 per kg. Rates of different variety of apple was fixed at Rs 45 to 100 per kg while B grade was sold at Rs 60 to 80 per kg in makeshift markets while in open market good quality was sold at Rs 40 to 70 per kg. Banana was fixed at Rs 40 to 45 per dozen and good quality was sold at Rs 60 per dozen while in open market sold at Rs 40 to 50 per dozen. Peach special was fixed at Rs 85 to 95 per kg and B grade at Rs 65 to 70 per kg while it was sold at Rs 95 per kg. Pomegranate desi was fixed at Rs 70 to 80 per kg from Rs 45 to 50 per kg and sold up to Rs 100 per kg and pomegranate khandari at Rs 100 to 130 per kg from Rs 90 to 100 per kg and sold at Rs 150 per kg. Pear was fixed at Rs 50 to 55 per kg and sold at Rs 60 per kg. Grapes sundarkhani was fixed at Rs 160 to 180 per kg and sold at Rs 220 per kg and grapes gola at Rs 75 to 80 per kg and sold at Rs 120 per kg.
