PHILIPSBURG--Minister of Infrastructure Maurice Lake has gone quiet on three issues on which he was very vocal up to a few weeks ago.Despite attempts by The Daily Herald to obtain follow-up information concerning the moving of milled asphalt from the airport, sand from the area of the zoo and the situation at the area known as Foga in Sucker Garden, moncler down jackets, moncler down jackets, Lake has been non-responsive.He has yet to inform the public about the outcome of the investigation by the Ministry of Public Housing, moncler outlet, Spatial Planning, Environment and Infrastructure VROMI into the moving of asphalt and sand. The issue has gone quiet without government ever disclosing what its inquiries yielded, if anything. In the case of the sand, moncler sale, the Minister has not confirmed if permission was given to move the sand and by whom. If not, he was asked, what consequences have been levied on those that did move the sand as well as the asphalt? The Minister regarded the movement of these government properties as theft if there was no authorised permission given. The Ministry of VROMI had also indicated that asphalt was moved to the French side of the island. To date, neither the Minister nor his ministry officials can confirm if that is true or if anyone will face any consequences. The Minister had also stopped the development at Foga, stating that former Minister William Marlin had committed the country to a bill of NAf. 6 million to a contractor while knowing there was no money to execute the development plans. It is known that the Minister has reached some sort of agreement with the contractor and government was seeking ways to compensate the contractor for work done. Again, discount moncler jackets, however, discount moncler jackets, the Minister has been non-responsive to inquiries.Another outstanding issue is the situation surrounding the emergency homes in Cole Bay. The St. Maarten Housing Development Foundation (SMHDF) had given the occupants of these homes a deadline to vacate, moncler on sale, claiming that the property owner wants his property free of the homes. The Minister has been asked if the tenants still have to vacate their homes and, moncler sale, if yes, moncler outlet, when and if there is a relocation option in place or whether these tenants have to seek alternate housing on their own.The Minister has been non-responsive. _________________ People watching the forthcoming beginning of the German half of the inhabitants of Berlin are no interested in co-optation |
