Forest Carbon Partnership Program at the end of June. Under the program, investors pay to plant trees and can then either sell or donate the offsets. The offsets are expected to be worth between $10 and $20 a tonne, double the price of an average carbon credit elsewhere in the world. It will cost about $4 a tree to do the replanting. The program is aimed at private companies.
