S&C Promotions and ITL Celebrating "Arthur Guinness Day" withShaggy in Concert on August 23.Last year, moncler down jackets, Arthur Guinness Day was celebrated with the fabulous performance of "Third World" spreading the love on September 27. This event was a tremendous success, therefore when S&C Promotions contacted ITL for possible support to bring Shaggy to the Island in August, it was a match made in heaven. Although the date is a little pushed forward, the event will once again be in honour of "Arthur Guinness" Day. "Shaggy in Concert" on August 23rd is soon approaching us, and St. Maarten will enjoy various reggae and dancehall artists at this event."Cliffy" Hoover Thompson, one of the two lead persons of S&C Promotions, moncler on sale Comment number 36, grew up in Jamaica where he befriended Nigel Lyn. Both being of Chinese descent, they frequented the Chinese Youth Association, moncleroutletHDI, called JCYA. They became good friends and stayed in touch for all these years. Cliffy eventually moved to St. Maarten, where he now represents Presidente Beer as Executive Sales Associate, and Nigel became the Stage Manager of Shaggy, involved with all the shows Shaggy performs in. Last year, the two friends got together and started talking about Shaggy returning to St. Maarten for a show. Cliffy and Scotty have been diligently working together to make this event a reality, and now with Carlton St. Hill of ITL on board, this event is scheduled to take place on August 23.In conversation with Cliffy, The Daily Herald learned that Shaggy has promised to give a fabulous show. He is a great live performer, who gets involved with the audience; fully interacting with them, offering a fantastic evening filled with all the songs they wish to hear. Cliffy was in New York last week and attended Shaggy on stage in Brooklyn. He returned raving about the event, convinced that the show in St. Maarten will be equally good. You've seen the publicity boards mounted since last week; Shaggy in Concert posters are seen on all major intersections and by now everyone in St .Maarten is planning to be in Festival Village on August 23. Aidonia, Incline and Ding Dong will be on stage as well, and the house band at the event will be "The Official Band". They will be supporting the entertainers during the entire evening.Super market promotions in the major stores have started, and 400 tickets will be handed out to winners of the drawings. Drawings will be weekly, so when doing your shopping pick up Guinness products and enter the raffles to win your ticket for the event.ShaggyOrville Richard Burrell, moncler sale, Shaggy, was born in Kingston, discount moncler jackets, Jamaica. Guinness has grown to become one of the most successful beer or ale brands in the world. It is now brewed in almost 60 countries worldwide and is available in over 100 countries. The founder of this product was Arthur Guinness; he started producing the product in 1759 in Guinness Brewery. In 1769, exactly 10 years later, it exported its first barrels of ale to England. The main product is Guinness Draught, which is one of the most sought-for beer brands worldwide. A portion of the drink was aged to give the ale a sharp lactic flavour. At this point in time, it is not clear whether this process is still adhered to; however, Guinness beer has maintained its special flavour recognized by all Guinness drinkers around the world. One of the most prominent features of the product is the burnt flavour that is gained from the roasting of the unmalted barley; it also gains its colour from this process. The draught beer's thick and creamy head stems from mixing the beer with nitrogen when poured. Only in the late 1960's did the wooden casks make place for the current aluminium kegs,ee4lfeec, which were affectionately nicknamed "Iron Lungs".Foreign extra stout was and is brewed with generous hops and roasted barley for the bittersweet balance and full flavoured, natural bite. The extra hops were added to ensure the Stout would arrive at its foreign destination in perfect condition. All are encouraged to come to the show – drink Guinness and drink it responsiblyTickets are available at Van Dorp (both locations), Jerk and Roti ShopAdmission:US$ 30 for tickets purchased in advanceUS$ 40 tickets purchased at the doorUS$ 100 VIP Section Editorial - On the way down?
