Sherwood girls, South River boys advance to Maryland 4A/3A l bar end mirror acrosse finals
Doan scored a season-high eight goals as the Warriors beat Howard, 17-14, in Saturday’s Maryland 4A/3A state semifinal at Annapolis, becoming the first Montgomery County girls’ lacrosse team to win a state tournament game. The Warriors scored the first three goals of the second half and extended the advantage to 17-10 on Doan’s final tally with 8 minutes 16 seconds remaining.“I think the girls got a taste of something, and they wanted more,bar end mirror,” said Coach Kelly Hughes, a former Sherwood player. “I didn’t have to do a whole lot of pepping them up.
