2013 Moto Guzzi California 1400 Touring – First Ride A bigger and much better Italian bagger, bar end mirror.
The California is back, and Moto Guzzi along with it. When I first saw the new California 1400 in photos, I think the bike was competently styled. Lake found it face-to-face at the Milan motorcycle show, I stubled onto that Miguel Galluzzi’s styling is absolutely beautiful.Riding the California in the Cote d’Azur of southern France only intensified my impressions. Furthermore,Sportbike lever, it taught me to be suspect that the 1400 is the bike to resurrect Moto Guzzi and convey back its glory days. The Touring model seen what follows is a richly executed, fully dressed Grand Touring bike, able to require globally in great style and comfort. This ultimate evolution belonging to the Guzzi 90-degree V-Twin originated at Aprilia in Noale, where Piaggio’s R&D department will now be located. Its cam-in-head,Sportbike lever, eight-valve,Motorcycle lever, rubber-mounted engine have been bumped to 1380cc by enlarging the 1200’s bore from 95 to 104mm and retaining the 81.2 clutch and brake levers mm stroke. Modern electronics are key: The throttle-by-wire fuel injection, billet mirror, accompanied by a 52mm throttle body, has three selectable settings (Rain, adjustable Lever, Touring, Fast), plus three stages of traction control. Twin-spark ignition ensures a clean burn in those huge cylinders. Moto Guzzi claims 96 horsepower and 88.5 foot-pounds of peak torque. An all-new double-cradle, steel frame mounts a 46mm Sachs fork that could be raked to 32 degrees, rear sets, while a couple of shocks of the same make control the rear. Radial tires, 130/70-18 front and 200/60-16 rear, are designed to the California, handle lever, has a superb 66.3-in. wheelbase. ABS-equipped Brembo brakes feature radial-mount four-piston calipers with 320mm discs looking at the screen as well as a two-piston rear which includes a 2 motorcycle brake lever 82mm disc. Our Ambassador edition, painted a glo motorcycle clutch ssy black with chalk-white pinstripes, is outfitted accompanied by a two-tone seat (set within a sensible 29.0 in.), a Highway Patrol windshield, 9.2-gallon side bags in gloss black, and LED head- and taillights.Immediately apparent certainly is the e Motorcycle racing parts rgonomically correct riding posture with all the large handlebar set at an ideal height. Comfort is superb, as well as windshield does a great job of protecting the rider. Are among the large, adjustable levers, round instrument cluster is known for a digital speedometer, an analog ta SportBike Levers chometer including a tripmeter, plus a selectable multifunction display. Boots sit on rationally placed footboards along with a rocker-type shifter.Clutch-lever effort is light, thanks to the new single-disc clutch assembly. First gear engages accompanied by a light “clunk,” but the transmission otherwise is smooth and quick to shift. At idle, adjustable Lever, the air- and oil-cooled V-Twin shakes, but when past 1000 rpm, it’s perfectly smooth.Solid torque and good throttle response are merely south of 2000 clutch lever rpm, while above 3000,handle lever,CNC sport bike parts, the major engine really goes to life with impressive acceleration, especially considering the California’s substantial 743-lb. curb weight.Perfectly able to harnessing all that energy is definitely a chassis that’s planning to lean into corners with good agility and neutrality. During spirited riding, I scraped the floorboards over a few occasions, that is certainly the maximum amount brake clutch levers a compliment towards the quality and balance of one's chassis as a general criticism in the cornering clearance. At low speeds, billet mirror, the lazy rake angle is noticeable through wandering steering, but beyond 10 mph, the difficulty disappears.Moto Guzzi has returned, by having a sumptuous bike that exudes class and, furthermore, should help the storied maker capt adjustable handle ure back a bit of the limelight it so clearly deserves..spec-table margin-bottom:10px; width:100%;.spec-table th background:#000; color:#fff; font:1.8em LeagueGothicRegular, adjustable levers,Arial,sans-serif; padding:4px;.spec-table td.spec-left padding:4px; text-align:right; width:50%;.spec-table td.spec-right font-weight:bold; padding:4px; text-align:left; width:50%;SPECIFICATIONSPrice:19,Motorcycle Superstore,Motorcycle Superstore,300 euros/U.S. n/aEngine type:cih V-TwinDisplacement:1380ccSeat height:29.0 in.Fuel capacity:5.4 gal.Claimed curb weight:743 lb.2013 Moto Guzzi California 1400 Touring - action 3/4 view #1'>2013 Moto Guzzi California 1400 Touring - action right-side view #1'>2013 Moto Guzzi California 1400 Touring - action left-side view'>2013 Moto Guzzi California 1400 Touring - action right-side view #2'>2013 Moto Guzzi California 1400 Touring - action 3/4 view #2'>2013 Moto Guzzi California 1400 Touring - action right-side view #3'>2013 Moto Guzzi California 1400 Touring - action rear view'>2013 Moto Guzzi California 1400 Touring - right-side view'>2013 Moto Guzzi California 1400 Touring - left-side view'>2013 Moto Guzzi California 1400 Touring - front wheel, Brembo brakes and Sachs forks'>2013 Moto Guzzi California 1400 Touring - right grip (note: cruise control actuation button)'>2013 Moto Guzzi California 1400 Touring - cylinder and tank'>2013 Moto Guzzi California 1400 Touring - engine'>2013 Moto Guzzi California 1400 Touring - large oil radiator'>2013 Moto Guzzi California 1400 Touring - two-tone seat and sidebags'>2013 Moto Guzzi California 1400 Touring Ambassador - studio right-side view'>2013 Moto Guzzi California 1400 Touring Ambassador - studio front right 3/4 view'>2013 Moto Guzzi California 1400 Touring Ambassador - studio rear right 3/4 view'>2013 Moto Guzzi California 1400 Touring Ambassador - studio left-side view'>2013 Moto Guzzi California 1400 Touring Ambassador - studio front view'>2013 Moto Guzzi California 1400 Touring Ambassador - studio rear view'>2013 Moto Guzzi California 1400 Touring Ambassador - studio instrumentation panel'>2013 Moto Guzzi California 1400 Touring Eldorado - studio front right 3/4 view'>2013 Moto Guzzi California 1400 Touring Eldorado - studio front left 3/4 view'>2013 Moto Guzzi California 1400 Touring Eldorado - studio headlights detailed view'> -->
